Cassie curled up on top of the old chest and stared out at the stars. Behind her, the CD Player sang softly.

Amazing how close it hits home. Cassie thought. Where are you? Do you ever think of me?

She thought back to their last meeting. There hadn't been any time to discuss anything on Hercuron, and after everything, they came back and only found that message beacon. He went looking for Zordon, alone and hurt. She hadn't missed the large blast in his chest, despite the way he hid it.

Why did I leave him on Hercuron? What did he mean when he said "Don't worry about me, I'll see you soon"? Did he think I wasn't going to worry? I don't even know if he's alive or not. Just how soon is soon? A day, a week, a month, a year? Does he care about me anymore? Did he ever? Cassie knuckled away the tears pooling in her eyes.

Should I just ignore how I feel and move on? She sighed. Every time I look at Andros and Ashley I just want to run to my room and cry my eyes out, and we haven't even really talked yet. I don't even know what he looks like for Heaven sakes! How could I miss someone I barely know this much?!

Where are you ? She asked for the hundredth time. In her mind's eye she saw him coming and sweeping her into his arms and apologizing for the past three months.

Get a grip, Cassie. It isn't going to happen. He probably doesn't even care. You have to pull yourself together. You're no use to anyone as a love sick puppy.

Before she could continue that thought DECA interrupted. "There is an incoming transmission for you, Cassie."

Cassie sighed. "Put it through." The blank screen across from her came to life and suddenly Cassie couldn't breath. Phantom.
