An Electrifying Experience
Berja grinned slightly as she shook her head a bit. "That-was trippy." She said finally.

"Are you ok?" Finda asked. She still didn't know exactly what happened, but Berja seemed okay, if slightly confused.

"I think so." Berja looked down at herself. "I seem to have all the parts I started with."

"No extras?" Finda asked, smiling.

"No extras." Berja told her best friend firmly.

Finda turned to where Obi-Wan had been standing. "What happened?"

Obi-Wan scratched his head, trying to figure that one out himself. "I'm not-exactly sure on that one."

Qui-Gon got up from his crouch besides the slightly toasted girl. Before he could comment Berja broke in.

"Ya know I wouldn't mind electrocuting myself if I wasn't frying nerve endings."

Master and Apprentice gave the strange girl a startled glance, but Finda just rolled her eyes.

"When are you going to understand the concept of it's bad for you? There is a reason you're not supposed to stick your hand in a light socket!"

Obi-Wan turned to the blind girl standing next to him. "She's done this before?"

"Never on purpose." Berja defended as she slowly stood up. "And for your information I didn't stick my hand into a light socket, I was fiddling with the lightsaber. Big, huge difference."

"Same consequence." Finda retorted.

"Larger jolt." Qui-Gon added, his lips quirking at the corners now that he was certain the girl would be all right. "Next time I suggest you don't tinker with things that aren't yours."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Berja waved the reprimand away.

Finda gave up. It never did any good to try to make Berja understand things when she was like this. "Berja, what time is it? If you're chrono's still working, that is."

The green-haired girl looked down at the chrono on her wrist. At least this time she managed not to burn off any skin or explode her chrono. That would have been extremely hard to explain to her brother. "We should be going. It's a long walk back to the port, Finda. The flight is leaving around 10 correct? It's almost quarter to nine now."

Finda nodded and together the girls started toward the door.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Qui-Gon asked, holding up the soft leather bag from before.

"Oh yeah, thanks." Berja went over to the large man and make a grab for the bag. Qui-Gon pulled it out of her reach and opened it. "HEY!"

Qui-Gon shook his head. "After the pronouncement you gave to my apprentice, you'll understand why I feel the urge to inspect your bag."

Berja rolled her eyes and made an insolent face, but waved her hand for him to continue. "All you'll find is food."

Finda too, had turned and patiently waited for the large Jedi Master to finish his inspection. "He _will_ only find food in there, right Berja?"

Berja rolled her eyes again and nodded. "Yes Finda. I knew we shouldn't have told Yon Jedi Apprentice our secret plan."

Qui-Gon raised an eyebrow, but found only what Berja mentioned, fruit and veggies. He still wasn't certain he trusted the green haired girl not to be lying to him, she seemed a bit...off balanced, and he couldn't find any reason why she would wish to blow up the center of government on Aswabadon, besides her stated intent. Finda had sworn up and down that Berja was harmless and liked getting reactions out of people. He hoped that would be the case.

He handed back her bag, "Here you go."

The girl gave him an impertinent bow. "Thank you. Now come on Finda. We gotta find a transport, or we're walking and it's a LONG walk back."

Finda shrugged at the two Jedi, as she was being dragged out the door. "Thank you for letting us spend the night."
